Many of you have, or have heard of, Pandora bracelets??  Well these are the quilters alternative! 

Each charm is an enamelled quilt block (like cloisonnéware) that becomes a link for a bracelet.  It all starts with plain links, and you add a Charm each month, removing a blank link as you go. Keep the blank links and you can end up with more than one bracelet!!  It is a little tricky to get the blank charms out and the new ones in, but there is a tool to help with that ($10.00 NZ) but you can use a long tapestry needle and once you get the hang of it you can just use your fingers.

In my bracelet I have got all the available charms (15) and have left some blanks in as well, and it is sheer heaven to wear!  It is fairly flat so it doesnt get caught in things; it also doesnt clonk or rattle on my desk and key board, and it doesnt pinch the hairs on my wrist!!  The little quilt blocks are beautiful and the quality cannot be faulted.  Every time I look at my bracelet I have a wave of pleasure wash over me!  It reminds me that I am part of a sisterhood of special creative and creating women!

A starter bracelet of 19 blank links (approx 7.5inches) is $20.00 (NZ). After that you will get one charm per month at a cost of $38.00 (NZ) (plus courier of about $4.00 NZ). You will automatically go on our autoshipment of one charm per month for 19 months so that you will have one complete bracelet. You can withdraw from the autoship at any time by writing to us, but you will have to accept the charm that is due for that current month as it will already have been ordered.

How do I attach the charms to my base bracelet?

First, take the bracelet and stretch it. Each link has a wide hook at one end and small metal bar at the other, and each link simply hooks into the bar on the next link. 

When you get your new charm you have to stretch out the links, push the hook up and unclip it.  Just clip the new charmed link in. (You might use a tapestry needle or ballpoint pen to help push the link out so that you can undo the hook).

Once you have added the charm (or charms) reseal the bracelet by hooking the new charm (A) to the thin metal piece (B) of the other end of the bracelet.

How big are your charms? Are they compatible with the Italian Charm bracelet I already own?

Our charms and bracelets are fully compatible with all major brands of Italian Charms and bracelets. All of our charms and bracelets are the standard 9mm size (just under 3/8" wide).

How many links do I need?

Most people are comfortable wearing a bracelet with 19 links (approximately 7 1/4" long).
